Description
Fay has spent eighteen months locked up in a Secure Training Centre. Drug deals and rip-offs are the only things this teenager knows. Now she's back on the street, looking to settle old scores. Cherub agents Ryan and Ning need Fay's knowledge to unearth a major drug importer. They're trained professionals with one essential advantage: even experienced criminals never suspect that children are spying on them. But Fay's made a lot of enemies and she's running out of time.

The penultimate Cherub novel sees Ryan and Ning sent on a mission to identify a supplier of illegal drugs, and introduces a new and interesting character to ally themselves with, as well as bringing back James for a supporting role.
It's in keeping with much of the series, although I do think that the earlier James-focussed novels tended to have slightly more connection to the character. The action continues to feel realistic, and dangerous, and the characters behave like highly-trained teenagers really might.
Unlike most books in the series, there's nothing at the end to summarise what happens next, which makes me wonder if the final book follows on from some of the threads left dangling here. It does contain a teaser chapter, but I never read those.
A good fun adventure, which is what I was looking for it to be.
