In their sixteenth adventure the Three Investigators are put in touch with a local animal handler to investigate his lion.

It’s a pretty standard story for the series, with the team facing peril, but lacks some of the more interesting horror aspects, or intriguing mysteries like we saw in the previous story.

Nothing to criticise really apart from the almost total absence of female characters. But also nothing to write home about.

A classic Three Investigators mystery in which the trio are sent by their mentor Alfred Hitchcock to help a friend in need.

The story combines the usual mix of creepy supernatural story, vicious scheming baddies, and crime solving skills.

A fun little adventure.
