Hot Water II | 23rd April 2006, 08:41
So, after the fiasco with the hot water on Friday morning caused by loss of power to part of Heronbank was fixed...

Last night, at approximately 2000 hours BST all power was lost to all of Heronbank. We went and sat beneath the emergency lighting in the corridor to revise.

At 2100 hours BST electricity returned, and despite one later flicker, remained on. There was however no hot water coming through the kitchen tap last night, but the bathroom taps were fine. The bald electrician said 'hi' as he passed, looking like a retired hell's angel (I later saw him again and realised it wasn't actually a leather jacket but just a black coat thing).

Awaking at 0700 BST this morning, we discover that there is, once again, no hot water. I called security at this time to inform them and they said they would call out the contractor. An hour later Ash rang them again, and they informed us that the electrician had discovered a fault with the underground power line last night, which he was unable to fix then due to it being dark. Hence this morning he is hard at work on this.

Security also informs us that we should not expect hot water today. Thanks.
