Stupid Moves | 2nd March 2006, 15:35

The BBC reports that the government have made another stupid decision.
If you can't be bothered to consult the article, it describes how the Energy Minister has decided against the idea of a massive wind farm in Cumbria on the grounds that it might spoil the view.
Does the government not realise how the view is going to be spoilt anyway with the amount of fossil fuels they are continuing to burn? It's about time we got a move on with this renewable energy lark - then we can start working out how to remove the carbon dioxide we've already got in the atmosphere...

Ah... The BBC now explain why: we're beating the predictions for wind farms, so obviously we can slow down on their production.

Nice to see the government arguing with itself again. We may be beating our wind farm predictions and thus not building more, but now the government is going to fail to meet it's target over CO2 emissions.
Tony Blair is now demanding a 'green revolution'. But what about your wind farms, Mr. Blair?
