As well as providing a second corny 'bite out of Apple' headline, the BBC have today reported on a new way of distributing viruses for Apple Macintosh computers. The BBC have taken it upon themselves in this article to let people know just how easy it is to infect a Mac with your virus, by explaining exactly how. Well done. Admittedly, I have found the Macs at WTV to have problems with filename extensions, in that they don't attach them properly, and so one Mac will not recognise the file type of a file copied over a network from another Mac. |

To be honest, it's about time MAC started having some virus problems. Perhaps it will end the illusion that it is more secure than windows, which I think is maintained only because nobody is targeting them. The same is probably true for Firefox; how will it hold up when people start combing through its code for exploits in the same manner they do with IE...
