Scene 1 - August 2005 - Haywards Heath The day after building dad's new computer, Jim is attacked by mysterious abdominal pains. These get worse throughout the day (Monday) whist working at Lloyds TSB. Tuesday, Jim goes to see 'The First Doctor'. Doctor says it's probably muscle strain, although he can't think of what muscle would be causing pain there. He orders paracetemol and bed rest. By Friday, the pain has died down enough for Jim to go back to work.
Scene 2 - November 2005 - University of Warwick Jim is attacked by the same pains again, however suffers through Modern Control Theory lectures and a supervision before visiting 'The Second Doctor'. Doctor agrees with 'The First Doctor', does a quick urine test to check Kidneys, then sends Jim on his way. After about a week, the pain wears off.
Scene 3 - Spring 2006 - University of Warwick Jim suffers a third attack, however this time doesn't bother with a doctor, and the pain dies down again.
Scene 4 - Easter 2006 - Haywards Heath Jim has another attack, and sees 'the Third Doctor', who suggests it might be irritable bowel syndrome, but doesn't give Jim anything for it.
Scene 5 - June 2006 - University of Warwick Jim continues to get assorted abdominal pains. These continue into...
Scene 6 - A Monday in August 2006 - Haywards Heath ... where Jim goes to see 'the Third Doctor' again. In the meantime Jim has started taking an over-the-counter IBS remedy, which if anything made him worse. Jim had also briefly spoken to 'The Fourth Doctor' over the telephone, however he offered little new. 'The Third Doctor' prescribed Lanzoprazole, which is for treating excess stomach acid (this is quite a key note, as this is a condition Jim did have!). At some point around this time Jim saw 'the Fifth Doctor', but he's no longer sure exactly where she fit into the timeline. 'The Third Doctor' also ordered blood tests ( which were duly booked for the Friday that week, with the results taking about a week to come through.
Scene 7 - Saturday - Burgess Hill Jim was so bad that he was taken to the emergency 'Sixth Doctor', who said that she would have expected the Lanzoprazole to have had an effect by now, and booked Jim into the Royal Sussex Hospital in Brighton.
