Oh, I already worked out that Marsha had issues. And that the Church of Galion seems to disapprove of powers. Or at least Marsha's interpretation of it did.

Then the real question is, what kind of powers. You may remember she was pretty comfortable with telepathy.

That's true. But she lectured her friend for Hammering someone, though that seemed to be more misusing a gift then doing something profane. I guess I'll have to wait and see.
