If I recall correctly, Rememberence Day is the European version of Veterans Day, exept it's more about remembering those who didn't come back.

Aye. 'Tis called Remembrance Day in Canada as well. Mais en Français, ce jour-la s'est nommé l'Armistice. (But in French, that day is called the Armistice)
