As they aren't actually problems, I thought I'd open a topic for suggestions.

Anyway, to the point: How about having the 'Use signature?' box already ticked, or perhaps even a profile option for it? I forgot to tick it in my first post :(

And 'Edit' feature would be much appreciated. I feel like I'm spamming when making all these posts.

There is now an option on the profile page to have the signature box checked by default. :)

It's not much of a problem now, but when the threads get to multiple pages, could we have an option to go to the most recent page?

Do you mean a sitewide tick box option on the preferences to go directly to the last page, or a link on each page of the relevant topic to go to the last page? If the latter, then there already is one - as no topics are yet more than 2 pages, the page numbering links have yet to be seen in all their glory.

Ah, I beg to differ. Look at "Welcome to Shastrix forums" and you'll see it has two pages. What I meant when you're showing all the topics on a board they have page selection links.

Ah... you didn't say you wanted them on the board pages.

I posted this in the Problems thread before reading this one:

Another irksome thing is that there's no way to tell if a thread has multiple pages before you start reading it, and then you can't help but start with the first page rather than jump to a more recent one. That's merely annoying now, but it could get to be really annoying if these forums become more active. I'd recommend adding a little page... jumpy-thing... under the thread's title if it has more than one page, kind of like the ones found in phpBB forums.

Sooo... yeah. Could we have that on the board pages as well, please?

Also, it would be nice to have some sort of emoticons, although that's more of an optional feature (since things like ^ ^ or ;) can always be typed out instead).

Sorted. Although I will shortly be introducing a history button which will show previous versions of a post so that no conversation is lost.

PMs installed! You just need to enable them under your profile. For new users the default is to enable PMs.

Jim has sent you a new password. We have also written a Forgotton Password feature which appears on the sign-in page. Because of the way we coded the site to handle passwords they are encrypted in the database with no way of us telling what they are. If in future you forget your password you will need to provide your username, REAL name, and email address and we will email a replacement password.
