First proper concept sketch I did of Garchierri. The way he appeared in the second Sheyleron installment was a pretty immature portrayal. My original intention wat to make him look like Ferenc Gyurcsany, the former (and least liked) prime minister of Hungary, and the design was mainly based on caricatures of him, but no matter who I ask, they tell me he looks nothing like him. Still, the earliest drafts made him look like Thack, the first villain from Faans!, so I think this is much more accurate. The 'vision dimmed by reality shows' part is more of an attempt to justify using a disability (bad eyesight) to make him look more ridiculous. There's a lot of backstory in the Galaktika universe that I have alluded to in the past (Zarro's connection to Phantom), and that phrase is something I planned for Garchierri's official introduction, should I ever get around writing it.
