I'm not sure if it's obvious, but the last panel consists of three different perspectives. From left to right, the attacker seen from he captain's point of view as he jumps while grabbing the hilt of his sword; the captain, seen from a lower point of view, as he opens fire; and finally, the assasin, seen from behind as the bullets pass through him.
