Alright... Seeing as I'm basically out of scanner until September, I'm gonna put up the comics in written form and catch up with drawings when I can actually submit them. I don't like doing it, but I feel even worse about the sparse updates. So I'll have a little section on my dA account for the SHiNG novel (for lack of a better word), and whoever is still reading and waiting will be a little happier with me. >>; Chapters will be all in one document because it makes a bit more sense that way XD

Hello. Welcome to the front page of the newly rebranded Shastrix (and it cost considerably less than £500,000). If you feel the urge to share your thoughts, you know where the forums are.

RSS feeds have just been reintroduced to the comics - there is a separate feed for each comic that can be found by link at the bottom of each comic page, or by your browser if compatible. Also there are a couple of cosmetic changes to aid viewing in Safari.

MY SCANNER IS BROKEN! I finally ahve a good idea of what I'm going to do for the next few comics, and my scanner (which, unfortunately, is also a printer) says that my color cartridge has to be removed and replaced. I found out that it thinks the cartridge is still in, even though it's out. HOWEVER, when I take both of the cartridges out, it knows both of them are out. In short, I have to use the stuff at school, which isn't NEARLY as good a quality. :( So things may be going slow for a bit until I get a new computer and a tablet. Which I promise to do. Because I need to. Very badly. o_O More to come after Christmas or something. I was on a roll for once, too... ><;

I have just spoken with Daffyd over the telephone. He apologises that he has been unable to produce any comics recently, initially caused by him needing to use his spare time in the hunt for a new job. In addition to this, his computer, which he has chosen to name 'HUGGY', has sadly passed away. The computer was originally believed just to require a format and a reinstall of the OS, but it seems that that was not the case, and now it has gone away to visit Daffyd's brother, who is a computer doctor.
In the meantime, Daffyd has suggested that I should invite his readers to submit fan art and/or their own short Team Nexus based storylines which can be posted to the website as fillers while he is unable to create new comics himself. Please submit your artwork
here.
Daffyd would like to assure his readers that he is still alive and well, and that he continues to work on the storyline for when he is able to return to regularly updating Team Nexus.

As should be obvious, I have just updated the code behind SHiNG and AMFD. As usual, if anyone spots any problems with these areas, please let me know in the forums. In addition, the bottom half of this page (where the comics are listed) has been updated, and I would be especially grateful if people could let me know if there are any browsers that it doesn't work properly in.
Thanks!

I'm back! I have finally bitten the Block in the butt and posted the new-style comic, as well as the end of the prologue in the story. Expect a filler for Halloween, and chapter 1's title page within a recent time. ^_^
I've been fanarting about lately, too... (not a surprise) and found a lot of goodies you may see in the future in fillers and stuff... (I may need a separate filler section after all, if I'll be doing what I think I am...)

I've been taking forever with the latest comic... And it turns out the script is worse than I ahd imagined and the inking came out horribly. Plus I'm cramming for school. Um... I should be able to start things in about a week if things go the way I plan. As for the style... I'm getting rid of inking altogether and making it strictly pencil stuff, but with color. I still won't stop coloring stuff... It'll just take less time than it has been. XD

I have just uploaded the new version of the comics page into the Team Nexus comic. This has altered the layout slightly, given a facelift to the archive page, and gives the artist slightly more freedom in terms of updating the site. The new version is also much easier for me to adapt whenever a new comic comes along.
For now I am only introducing the new code on Team Nexus, as a sort of beta test. Once we know it's sound, I will slowly introduce it to the other comics on the site. In the meantime, can everyone have a play around with the new pages and let me know via the forums of any problems, or even any thoughts or suggestions as to how it could be improved even more.
Thanks :)

As reported elsewhere on the site, the new sign in system is now fully functional, including the remember me feature. In addition, the blogs section has received a facelift - if we're lucky, Daffyd might start using his again! Meanwhile, keep your eyes on the site as there may be more newness arriving in the near future...

Following a recently discovered problem with the sign in system in Internet Explorer, I am currently changing parts of the code in many areas of the site. This means that at the moment the 'remember me' box on the sign in page may not function properly. In addition, areas of the site that have been changed will not function properly unless users sign in afresh. As I say, this is a work in progress and normal service will resume ASAP. :)

Wha... Me not dead? I finally launched the next issue, and with summer vacation a mere two weeks away, there will most likely be a lot of updatey-ness. My computer nearly died with the huge file on it... And this one ended up looking like crap. But it's here... Sorry it took almost 6 MONTHS! OMG I'm so sorry! ><

*Fanfare* Please give a warm welcome to our new artist, CrazyCowProduction, and his comic, MC Comic, launched today. Some of you may already know of him, many of you may not, but please show him some support as he sets out. the page is a little plain at the moment, but in time it should receive some shiny buttons and a logo. Also, Daffyd please note that it's already more popular than Team Nexus... :P

Sorry for the downtime, we realise that this coincided with America 'coming online'. As you can see (when you scroll down) there are a few minor changes to this page. I've always liked the comment system, but it bugged me that if somebody was new to the site or was revisiting older comics their messages would probably never be read as people wouldn't know they were there. The last 5 comments for each webcomic are now listed. If you have any opinions on this, or any other webcomicy page please pass them along via the forums when they come back online. (They are down at the moment for a major redesign). ^_^

So, first panel is done, but now I have to redo the last two panels... They didn't cooperate with me, and now I have to do it all over again... Sigh... Oh wells... Also, I haven't gotten a lot of time to work on it anyway... By the time I'm done checking mail and deviantWATCHes (which fill up mad fast if I don't check them every day >.<), I'm getting yelled at to go to work. By the time I get back, I have to get ready for bed. So, not very good on my end right now... And I apologize to everyone for being so late. I should have given you all at least five or more by now, but no, all I can do is wait for the opportune time... But don't worry, I'm not slacking. I'm keeping myself busy in other ways that don't involve the computer, mainly writing a fanfic and writing a script for a silly fandub that was actually started because I desperately needed a subject for creative writing in school. And doodles that may or may not be scanned. I think I've mastered the profile view, finally... \0/ Which means I have to work on frontal view, because that still sucks... >.< In other news, my cousin's cat had kittens a few weeks ago, and I have to think of a way to get one to my friend next week. The runt's name is Lamp. My 14-year-old brother named her. Don't ask me why... I think it has something to do with "The Anchorman". XD

Due to Daffyd's problems with his drawing arm, I hereby announce the inaugural Team Nexus fanart competition. All entries should be sent to me (jim at shastrix dot com) and the best piece of fanart I receive by the time I get up on Monday (19th) morning/afternoon will be featured on the site in the place of the usual Team Nexus comic.

I've just updated the about page on Team Nexus with up to date biographies of the characters. In case you think I've missed anything I have also created a new topic on the Team Nexus forum where you can let me know what else should be included. Also, I like fanart ;)

Sorry, but there's no comic for today, mainly due to the fact that I was using my laptop as a teaching aid yesterday, and have yet to re-connect it to the scanner.

Yay! Spiffy news-posty thingy! ^___^ Alright... Down to business. A little update on the comic... I was having a bit of trouble with a single panel in the one that's been due for a while... Good news: I finally got it. Bad news: I don't have a lot of time to work on the final part, mainly due to a new policy with the computer that only allows for an hour a day (possibly two, if I am claiming to do homework). So, it may be a while still. Another factor is my lack of a scanner. I will prbably be able to do it at school, which is actually better than the one at home, but I don't want to mess up the paper, which always happens when I transport things, no matter what. So, I have that to worry about. Plus, actually drawing the page with the new panel that caused me so much trouble... And my KH2 fanfiction that I intend to turn in to my creative writing teacher by the end of the school year (Please read it on my dA account if you're familiar with the game, I need people to help me proofread before giving it to her)... And my distraction by Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch. Shut up, I happen to like it... Just not the skimpy-frilly dresses... *shudder* >.<; But the characters are beautifully developed, and while the combat system is kind of repetetive, the plot is gaining significance. So even though it looks like crap, it's good. I swear. OK, enough ranting. I think this is the longest thing I've ever written on a posty-type thingy. So, if you actually took the time to read all of this, you must have been really bored. XD

Welcome to the new comics section of Shastrix.com. We decided it was too messy with the comics lying around on the front page, so we've tidied them up into this new place especially for the three comics we did have and any new ones which might appear, like keenfans has today. Also included in today's bumper update is a new styling to the Team Nexus (formerly KillerFish) pages - Daffyd should be along tomorrow to pass his judgement, and you can do so too over on the forums. As for this section, the artists will update you here with their progress (or lack thereof).
